Coconut water and Madonna
Yes do not get surprised with the connection. The news is that Madonna has invested in the company called Vita Coco. The company Vita Coco sells the packaged natural coconut water. The money that has been reportedly invested is about 937,000 pounds in buying the shares of the company.
Vita Coco as suggested on their website is that was founded by two friends Ira Liran and Michael Kirban. They got inspired by the coconut water which is found in Brazil and it seems Brazilians love to drink a lot of coconut water.
Other stars who have invested in the company are Matthew McConaughey, Demi Moore, and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.
Vita Coco Website says that “ Yes, because it is pasteurized. Many doctors suggest that pregnant women drink coconut water regularly, since it has so many nutritional benefits. Coconut water contains high levels of lauric acid, what the body uses to make monolaurin, a disease-fighting fatty acid derivative. Lauric acid has anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties that protect the body against various infections and boost the immune system”

Coconut water has great benefits for sure and I have no doubts about it. Entire South India thrives on coconut. Coconut water is sold on the streets with vendors charging about Rs 15/- per green coconut. Doctors prescribe these in times of pregnancy. Coconut oil and coconut rice are other things that are really common in South India.
Coconut development Board looks after the development of coconut growing areas of India. The total production in India of coconut is about 3.09 billion nuts in 1997-98.
Three fourths of the word production comes from India, Indonesia and Philippines.
