Pajamas in public – is it right or wrong? Can we ban Kurta Pyjamas in public?

Well many would say that this is definitely not right but what the heck the Tesco store chain in UK has banned people from entering their stores in the pajamas or the PJ as they are commonly known as. Think about it the reason that they have asked about it is that other people get offended by this.

Who gave them the moral authority to do so?

Shopping is an experience that everyone can get and some want to look the best and some just shop in whatever is comfortable.

Imagine the shopping malls in India banning the wearing of “kurta Pyjama” in public. Gosh that would definitely anger almost all of our politicians as they rarely can be seen the western outfits.

Another incident that I read was that the a UK school banned people from coming to pick up their kids after school in Pajamas. No that is something OK since you want your children to behave and children definitely copy the elders and hence the ban.

I have seen several grandparents coming to pick up their grandchildren at school and they definitely are wearing their Kurtas for sure. That said can we ban them? Well I think the discretion has to be the wards here as to what kind of teachings they want to give to their kids. That said every one on its own and the schools should focus on larger issues rather than mundane issues of dressing and the moral judgments.

Talking of Kurta Pajama the best looking among the Indian policticians are two rather three politician who look very good in whatever they wear and that will mean even Kurta pajama. Rahul Gandhi, Scahin Pilot and Scindia guy. Look
