Wall Decals for your walls
If you have ever been to an Indian house you will find that the most prominent thing for the interior home decoration is what you call the good display board with all sorts of kids prizes and trophies displayed and some flowers in a vase. We Indians are bad at interior home design and styling it. In general the notion is that hiring the interior designer for decorating your home is considered a thing for the elite and not the general middle class. And yes there is nothing that is easily available for do-it-yourself people like programs available in the west like on HGTV or makeover shows. That concept has yet to catch one.
So here I am telling you something which is not very tough though I must say that it will not be easy on a lot many Indian’s eyes. The only thing similar that I have seen is the printed ceramic bathroom tiles.
If you have not heard of the term decals then I do not blame you. Well Decal is something like a piece of paper, cloth or vinyl sheet which has a printed pattern and that pattern can then be transferred onto the other surface like the home wall or the car bumper or even the nails.
A new thing which is available in US is the Vinyl decals or the vinyl lettering decals and in these the best thing is that they are easily removable and then reused at any other place, This helps especially for those of us who live in rented accommodations and know that the landlord will be breathing down your neck if he saw the letters all over the wall. In some cases I know the posters are also a strict no no because of the fact that these will leave all the tape marks all over the wall.
I am not sure if you will get these vinyl decals or vinyl lettering in India but if you have someone living in the US then go for the vinyl decals and these are not expensive at $10-$15 for a decal.
